As noted at Zynga.com company blog that day, Zynga founder and CEO Mark Pincus sent a letter to all employees, informing them about the implementation of the changes in the company structure, along with some details of the company-wide cost reduction projects.

“We are sunsetting 13 older games and we’re also significantly reducing our investment in The Ville. We are closing the Zynga Boston studio and proposing closures of the Zynga Japan and UK studios. Additionally, we are reducing staffing levels in our Austin studio.” Mark Pincus was quoted on his letter.

“All of these represent terrific entrepreneurial teams, which make this decision so difficult. In addition to these studios, we are also making a small number of partner team reductions. In all, we will unfortunately be parting ways with approximately 5% of our full time workforce.” Pincus added, noting that investment for data hosting, advertising, and outside services will also be affected.

According to Guardian, this is first ever Zynga job cuts, noting that the San Francisco-based social game services provider has around 3,200 employees, which means around 160 employees will be losing their jobs. The company also provides about 12% of Facebook‘s total revenue, having 5 of the 10 most popular Facebook games.

“RT @BarackObama: RT if you’re #ProudOfObama as our commander in chief.” Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) tweeted on Monday, while the Obama-Romney debate is going on, as noted by Fox News on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. This tweet does not appear on her Twitter account anymore.

@VanityFair I think that we should be focusing on @BarackObama and @MittRomney‘s policies rather than their personal cliff-hangers w/women.” Lohan also tweeted, but was also deleted. This was her reply to Vanity Fair‘s tweet on why Mitt Romney did not finish his story about Appleton, Wisconsin.

“OMG it is happening!!!!!!!! The Final Debate!!!!! I’m so nervous!” The 26-year old controversial star also tweeted that day. It is not known why Lindsay removed her Obama tweet support, which apparently created controversy and confusion to some observers.

Tagg Romney has reportedly apologized to US President Barack Obama on Monday, October 22, 2012, right after the third and final presidential debate between the president and his father, Mitt Romney, held in Boca Raton, Florida. According to ABC News on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, sources told them that Tagg Romney apologized to President Obama while they were both on stage on Monday, and that the president has accepted his apology. The two were seen whispering to each other after the last debate, with CNN also reporting that two Obama aides have confirmed their conversation.

As noted in the report, a source close to the Romney campaign revealed that reports that Josh, 37, Mitt Romney‘s third son, has also taken punches from Tagg, adding that the president should not be worried. Mitt and his wife Ann Davies Romney have three other sons, Matthew, 41, Benjamin, 34, and Craig, 31.

Tagg (whose complete first name is Taggart), 42, was interviewed in North Carolina radio station on Wednesday, October 17, and was asked about his comments on President Obama‘s accusations on his father during the second presidential debate, held the day before, at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York.

“Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can’t do that because, well, first because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that’s the nature of the process.” Tagg was quoted by Buzz Feed during the recorded radio interview.

“They’re gonna try to do everything they can do to try to make my dad into someone he’s not. We signed up for it, we’ve gotta try to kind of sit there and take our punches, and then send them right back the other way.” Tagg added, who was laughing when he made his ‘swing’ remarks.
