Well, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West rejected such offer, as reported by TMZ on Monday, January 7, 2013.

According to TMZ, sources close to the two celebrities told them that the couple has been “flooded with lucrative deals from magazines clamoring to score baby Kimye‘s coveted first photos.” The $3 million baby photo offer came from an overseas tabloid, TMZ said.

Considering that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie received $4.1 million for Shiloh‘s photo in 2006 and J. Lo and Marc Anthony got $6 million for their twins, Kim and Kanye should really reject the offer. The price for the photo will still increase as the demand will continue to soar high in the future.

How much do you think should Kim and Kanye receive for their baby’s first photo? Do you agree that they should have rejected that $3 million baby photo offer?

Google Chairman Eric Schmidt reportedly arrives in North Korea on Monday, January 7, 2013. Schmidt earlier said that he will visit the communist country as a private citizen together with former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

Reports say that Schmidt, executive chairman of the internet’s number one search engine, took a commercial Air China flight.

Schmidt expressed his desire to personally see the status of North Korea‘s economy and social media despite being criticized by US officials.

The US government openly expressed their opposition to the four-day North Korea trip by the Google Executive Chairman. The US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that they don’t think “the timing of the visit is helpful, and they are well aware of our views.” North Korea‘s rocket launch last December 12, 2012 has been criticized by the Obama administration.

In a statement, Richardson explained their North Korea visit.

This is not a Google trip, but I’m sure he’s interested in some of the economic issues there, the social media aspect. So this is why we are teamed up on this.

We’ll meet with North Korean political leaders. We’ll meet with North Korean economic leaders, military. We’ll visit some universities. We don’t control the visit. They will let us know what the schedule is when we get there.

NHL opening schedule confirmed for a 48-game season, January 19 season start being expected

Posted: 07 Jan 2013 01:39 AM PST

The NHL opening schedule has been reportedly confirmed, and is being expected to start on Saturday, January 19, 2013. This is after all the parties involved agreed on a tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) this Sunday, January 6, suggesting that the current NHL lockout is about to end.

NHL sends memo to clubs indicating no camps before Saturday (and may not open until Monday), 48-game season to begin Jan. 19.” CBC SportsElliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC), this Sunday, who also appears in a segment at ‘Hockey Night in Canada’ titled “The Headliner.”

However, this is quite different from what ESPN.com NHL columnist Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) revealed on his official Twitter account on the same day, “NHL sent out memo to teams tonight saying Jan 19 puck drop is most probable, however if ratification process goes fast, Jan 15 still in play.”

Almost on the same time, Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie), a Canadian hockey commentator who has been covering ice for decades at TSN (The Sports Network), tweeted, “No question target is 50-game, not 48-game, season. Speculation is it would be 5 games vs 4 division rivals and 3 games vs 10 Conf rivals.”

On Sunday early morning, representatives of the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) ended a lengthy meeting. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA Executive Director Don Fehr and talked to some reporters, but did not reveal further details.

“We have to go through a ratification process and the Board of Governors has to approve it from the League side and, obviously, the players have to approve it as well. We are not in a position to give you information right now about schedule, when we are starting.” Bettman told reporters.

Justin Bieber meets a young girl in hospital in Utah on Saturday, January 5, 2013, as shown in the photo below, before proceeding to his concert at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City that night. Once more, the Canadian teen superstar showed a kind heart despite his hectic schedule and enduring controversies.

As noted at Deseret News that day, Millie Flamm, 7, was supposed to watch Justin Bieber‘s concert that night but was too sick and could not make it. She has been battling with leukemia for three years and is currently confined at the Primary Children’s Medical Center, being aided by oxygen.

Amanda Flamm, Millie‘s mother, told the paper that she was not sure if Justin Bieber could meet her daughter, despite thousands have made an online campaign requesting the 18-year old ‘Girlfriend’ singer to see her. A website was created by the Flamm family, asking for donations to help her medications.

Amelia (Millie) was diagnosed in December of 2009 and she will continue to get daily doses of chemotherapy through 2012. It has been an incredibly stressful journey for so many reasons, but there has also been a lot of good to come from it.” A statement reads at MeetMillie.realcove.com.

“All of a sudden it pulled through and we were able to do a really intimate little meeting with just her and us and Justin and it was incredible and he was so sweet to her.” Amanda Flamm was quoted in the report, noting that Justin met with Millie in private, and even sang ‘Baby’ while holding her hand.

“He walked in and her whole face just lit up, and she turned around and hugged her dad, and then he ran over and came next to her and gave her a big hug. She is squeezing on to it with all her might and will not let it go,” Mrs. Flamm added, referring to the guitar picture Bieber has given to Millie.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Justin Bieber visited a fan in the hospital. Last year, on Valentine’s Day, Justin visited Avalanna Routh, 6, who calls herself as “Mrs. Bieber” and is battling with a rare brain cancer. Sadly, Avalanna passed away in September, and Justin paid tribute to her in one of his concerts.
