August 9, 2013 Holiday No Classes Observance of Eid'L FITR

Good news to all those who love holiday, on August 9, 2013 there will be a holiday in the observance of Eid'l Fitr the feast of Ramadan, this is to give respect to our Muslim brothers.

The Palace announced it today, declaring August 9, 2013 as regular holiday, this is according to the Proclamation No. 629 declaring Friday 9, 2013 of August as a regular holiday throughout the country in the observance if Eid'L FITR.

According to Malacanan this is to:

"Promote cultural understanding and integration, the entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in the observance and celebration of Eid'l Fitr;"

Again guys there will be no classes on August 9, 2013, seems like its going to be a long holiday for government office workers as well as students, as the weekend will start on Friday to Sunday, a three day marathon rest for all of the students and government workers.
