The Palace announced it today, declaring August 9, 2013 as regular holiday, this is according to the Proclamation No. 629 declaring Friday 9, 2013 of August as a regular holiday throughout the country in the observance if Eid'L FITR.
According to Malacanan this is to: "Promote cultural understanding and integration, the entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in the observance and celebration of Eid'l Fitr;" Again guys there will be no classes on August 9, 2013, seems like its going to be a long holiday for government office workers as well as students, as the weekend will start on Friday to Sunday, a three day marathon rest for all of the students and government workers.
