Los Angeles Times recently reported that Bonds purchased the property from Kenneth and Grace Jacobson for $8.7 million back in 2002. That time, the mansion only measures about 11,500 square feet and had six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, but the former San Francisco Giants star has managed to expand it later.

According to a report at TheAgencyre.com, the mansion now measures 17,100 square foot wide. It has 7 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and a two-story guest house; and was designed after a fine Italian Villa, from the olive tree-lined private drive to the Tuscan-style architecture. However, it did not mention Barry Bonds as its owner.

As noted by Mauricio Umansky on the listing, the wide “olive tree-lined grove” can be seen on the left upon entering the property, along with a quaint and lovely rose garden. Not to mention the verandas and patios located in the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Robert Sinclair masterpiece property.

The luxurious Bonds mansion, which sits on a 80,519 sq ft (1.84 acre) lot area, has a gym, game room, a 12-seat home theater with top-of-the-line audio/visual systems, a music room, a Jacuzzi, a Swedish full-body shower therapy room, a gourmet kitchen, a Trophy & Awards display room, and an elevator.

Outside the mansion can be found a huge swimming pool and a chef’s kitchen, which features a pizza oven, a BBQ and rotisserie, as well as a deep fryer, a wet bar, and an outdoor refrigerator/ice maker. There is also a 2,100 sq ft sports court, and a more than 2,000 sq ft of loggias, or open-sided extensions of the house.
