| Dwight Howard offers: Lakers denies trade rumors Posted: 23 Jan 2013 12:44 PM PST Dwight Howard offers from other NBA teams has been the recent rumor circulating, in and around the NBA.  Dwight Howard Image Credit: Andrew D. Bernstein/NBAE via Getty Images Trade talks on Howard may have been due to the inconsistency in the game of the Los Angeles Lakers. Sports analysts say that on paper, the Lakers team is considered as one of the top contender for this season’s championship. However, the supposedly formidable Lakers is currently in 12th place in the Western Conference with a 17-24 (win-loss) record. They have lost their last three games and has only won five games on the road. With the Lakers record heading south, questions are being raised if Howard is a fit for the LA. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak quickly shoot down the rumors of a Howard trade. Kupchak explained,
The Lakers denial of a trade offer may not yet be in the works, but a few losses may soon change their mind. Kobe Bryant‘s frustration may also force them to quickly come up with a decision. Bryant expressed his disappointment after the Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, January 22, 2013. According to Bryant,

| Baby flung from car: Mitsubishi SUV ejects one-year-old girl (Video) Posted: 23 Jan 2013 11:41 AM PST  Baby flung from car Image Credit: ABC News video grab A baby flung from a car in Russia was captured on video by a camera installed on the dashboard of another vehicle running behind it, according to an ABC news report on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. The one-year-old child was reportedly ejected out from a Mitsubishi SUV when the vehicle went out of control in an icy Russian highway and ended up crashing into an incoming truck. Reports say that the baby flung out from the car because she was not securely strapped on the car’s seat by her parents. She reportedly fall on the pavement landing her face first. Another incoming truck was able to slow down and reportedly avoided running over the baby girl. Dmitry Aliev, the baby’s father, immediately picked up the baby and rushed her into a nearby hospital. | World’s largest hips belong to Mikel Ruffinelli, measuring 8 feet round (Video) Posted: 23 Jan 2013 08:13 AM PST The world's largest hips reportedly belong to Mikel Ruffinelli of Los Angeles, California, whose hips measure a staggering 8 feet round (or around 96 inches), as shown in the video below. Ruffinelli, 39, who weighs 420 pounds, has no hips like that of Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce, but says she has no plans to lose weight. She even showed a photo of her mother who also has big hips. However, Ruffinelli cannot drive a car due to her size. She now drives a truck and uses a customized chair at home. Despite having some difficulties in most of her everyday tasks, including taking a shower, Mikel, who stands at 5’4″, says she has no health problems and she exercises with her children and husband. Meanwhile, Reggie Brooks, Ruffinelli‘s husband, who works as a computer technician and has been married to her for 10 years, said he does not care on what some men would say. He said he loves her shape and that it was her personality that he was first attracted at. “A lot of people say they don’t believe in love at first sight. However, that’s how it was for me. She has a sweet disposition. I’d like to tell people all the time, I have a license to work with heavy equipment. You know what I’m saying.” Reggie said on the interview. Stephens, 19, beat Williams, 31, in the quarterfinals of the tournament. To express her frustration during the tough match, Serena destroys her racket, as shown in the video below. Serena‘s loss stopped her 20-game winning streak, and it was the first time she lost to a younger American player. “Oh, my gosh, I’m almost relieved that it’s over because there’s only so much I felt I could do.” Serena was quoted telling to reporters during the post-match press conference, who won gold at the 2012 London Olympics last August after beating Maria Sharapova, and later winning the US Open against Victoria Azarenka. “I even screamed on the court. I was like, Ahh. I totally locked up after that. It was just like – it was a little painful. But, I mean, it’s OK. It was what it was.” Serena added, referring to her ankle injury and the back pain she endured towards the end of the second set. She was treated by a doctor and continued to play. “Oh, yeah. Did you see it? I even had a wry smile on my lips after that. It was heard by millions of Americans and was watched on live TV. But some reports said that Beyonce did lip sync, instead of singing it live. Kristin duBois admitted that Beyonce made lip sync of her performance of “The Star Spangled Banner,” and that only the pre-recorded version was played during that historical event. As noted in the report, Sgt. duBois said that the weather on Monday was fine and the Marine Band did not have any problem and performed live during the entire inauguration ceremony. However, the band was informed at the last minute that Beyonce will not sing live and that a recorded version will be played. However, Capt. Gregory Wolf, another Marine Corps spokesman has backed off the earlier statement. He told reports on Tuesday afternoon that Beyonce did not have the chance to rehearse with the band, which is why a pre-recorded version of the song was used, emphasizing that no one in the Marine Band is in the right position to say whether Beyonce sang live or not. Apparently, Sgt. duBois was also quoted in other reports including New York Post and Washingtonian, allegedly confirming that Beyonce‘s performance on Monday was indeed a lip synch, explaining that the 31-year old “Run the World” singer abruptly decided to lip sync, and did not explain why. Meanwhile, Marine Corps band director Colonel Michael J. Colburn was quoted telling to Washingtonian that all performers for the Inauguration Day, including James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson, have prepared a pre-recorded version of their performances, in case a problem will occur at the last minute. Both of them sang live that day. For Beyonce, she even posted a photo on her official Instagram account on Sunday, January 20, the day before Inauguration Day, showing her in a recording studio, rehearsing the US National Anthem with the members of the Marine Corps Band. A rep for Beyonce has not released any official statement on this issue. This third installment of Iron Man franchise will be the fourth Marvel film to be released in IMAX theaters, after Iron Man 2 in 2010, Thor in 2011, and The Avengers in 2012.
