Kristen Stewart desperate to find a new job, as Breaking Dawn Part 2 ends Twilight movie series

Posted: 14 Nov 2012 08:14 AM PST

Hollywood star Kristen Stewart is desperate to find a new job, after the fifth and final sequel of the Twilight movie series is set to arrive in US theaters this Friday, November 16, 2012. This is four months after she admitted cheating Robert Pattinson over her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director Rupert Sanders.

As noted at E! News on Monday, November 12, Kristen Stewart talked to them during the ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2‘ red carpet premiere at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California that night and said that she is desperate to get a new job. Her last film was ‘On the Road’, which will be shown in the US this December.

“I’m kinda desperate to get a job right now. For now, it’s all about “Breaking Dawn: Part 2.” “I’m itching to go back to work. I feel really good. I’m trying to take in every single one of these moments. I don’t want to miss one.” Stewart, 22, was quoted telling to E! News.

“We shot the climax of the movie at the very start of production and I almost passed out before I walked onto my first entrance. I literally had to hold onto the door handle to not fall over. If you don’t feel like you’re terrified and want to pass out, it’s not worth it.” She added with a laugh.

Stewart‘s On the Road will be shown in the US on December 21, and despite earlier reports saying that she will not be invited to return to the franchise, she told The Hollywood Reporter (THR) last week that there might be a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

“No one’s positive or anything, but I think there’s a strong possibility.” Stewart told THR, who apologized to Pattinson last July 25, saying, “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected” and added that she loves the married director.

Toyota Recall 2012: Toyota recalls 2.77 million vehicles worldwide over steering wheel and pump problems

Posted: 14 Nov 2012 06:21 AM PST

Toyota Motor Corp. announced this Wednesday, November 14, 2012 a voluntary recall of around 2.77 million vehicles worldwide due to problems on steering wheel and water pump system. This is a month after a Toyota recall was announced because of Power Window switch problem, affecting around 7.43 million vehicles worldwide.

According to press release by Toyota on its official press site that day, there are two separate Priusrecalls that included the 2004 to 2009 Prius models, affecting around 670,000 vehicles are being recalled in the US, to inspect the steering intermediate extension shaft and replace if necessary.

As noted in the report, the splines that connect the extension shaft to the steering gear box may deform if the steering wheel is frequently and forcefully turned to the full left or full right position while driving at slow speeds, which was caused by insufficient hardness treatment of some of the extension shafts.

“This may create an increased backlash and the splines may eventually wear out over time, which could result in loss of steering ability,” Toyota spokesman Joichi Tachikawa was quoted telling to BBC News, adding that there were no reported accidents related to this latest Toyota recall where 75,000 vehicles in UK are included.

CNN Money reported that around around 1.5 million vehicles were being recalled in Japan, while Toyota Australia said that a total of 12,710 vehicles are affected in their country. CBC.ca said that 14,816 Prius vehicles are affected in Canada, and that other models affected include Toyota Corolla, Toyota Wish, among others.

Meanwhile, Toyota USA noted that around 50,000 of the same Prius models are also being recalled where the the electric water pump for the hybrid system will be replaced, which is being expected to take approximately two hours depending on the dealer’s work schedule.

“In the hybrid system, there is an electrically driven water pump that circulates coolant through the hybrid components to provide cooling. There is a possibility that the electric motor installed in the water pump may stop functioning, leading to illumination of various warning lights in the instrument panel.” A statement reads at Toyota.com.

“In limited instances, the electric power supply circuit fuse may open, causing the hybrid system to stop while the vehicle is being driven.” Toyota added, emphasizing that there were also no related crashes or injuries reported, and that the recalled vehicles were built between May 2003 and April 2009.

Toyota said that they will send a notification letter via first class mail to the owners of vehicles affected by these two safety recalls beginning December 2012, and that any authorized Toyota dealer will perform the countermeasure with free of charge.

For more information about this latest Toyota recall, US customers are being invited to contact Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331 or visit www.toyota.com/recall, while customers in Australia are being suggested to call 1800 987 366.

Titanic jewels recovered from the wreckage of Titanic will go on public display for the first time in a tri-city tour, according to reports by several international news sites, November 14, 2012.

Based on reports, Atlanta- based Premier Exhibitions Inc. announced that the 15 items, including pendants, rings and a pocket watch, will first be exhibited in Atlanta from November 16, 2012 through January 6, 2013. This will be followed by displays in Orlando and Las Vegas, through May of next year.

Alexandra Klingelhofer, Vice-President of collections for RMS Titanic Inc., mentioned that the purpose of the exhibit is to show the public the wonder of exploration.

"Going down two and a half miles below the ocean, recovering a bag, bringing it back up and opening it and finding … jewelry. We're able to give them a glimpse of how it must have been to have opened that for the first time and to see, together, the beautiful jewelry of the Edwardian Period", Klingelhofer said in a statement.

Recent reports also said the jewelry exhibit will be added to "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition", opened in Atlanta earlier this year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic on April 15, 1912.

Business analysts say that pressure is mounting on Macy’s as this may affect the retailer during its 2012 Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday Sales. Macy’s stores have exclusive rights to sell Trump merchandises that include suits and perfumes.

In response to increasing clamor for to remove Trump from its advertisements and products from all its stores, an email statement was issued by Jim Sluzewski, Vice President for Corporate Communications and External Affairs for Cincinnati–based Macy’s, Inc.

Below is the statement issued by Sluzewski through an email.

Macy's marketing and merchandise offerings are not representative of any political position. Many of the individuals associated with products sold at Macy's—or at any retailer, for that matter—express personal opinions that are not related to the merchandise we sell or to the philosophies of our company.

A longtime focus of Macy's holiday advertising has been to celebrate the season's spirit of generosity and goodwill through our ongoing 'Believe' campaign, and that is the sole message of our holiday television commercials.
