| Virgin Mary apparition in Malaysia hospital window pane spotted, many Catholics claim (Photo) Posted: 12 Nov 2012 09:10 AM PST A so-called Virgin Mary apparition was believed to have appeared in a window pane in a hospital in Malaysia, as shown in the photo below. Hundreds of devoted Malaysian Catholics are now praying and singing religious hymns in the area where the mysterious image was spotted several days ago.  ‘Virgin Mary apparition’ in Malaysia Image Credit: MalaysianDigest.com According to MalaysianDigest.com on Sunday, November 11, 2012, the supposed Virgin Mary sighting happened at Sime Darby Medical Center (SDMC) in Subang Jaya, Selangor, outside Kuala Lumpur. The image has drawn crowd since Friday, after the photo started to go viral at Facebook and Twitter. As noted in the report, a lot of witnesses who were in the area since Saturday claimed that the alleged Virgin Mary image is getting clearer as days went by. The event is already causing traffic in the area as some cars also park and drivers try to look at the image, which was first noticed by a hospital cleaner. Meanwhile, the news have already reached the knowledge of Bishop Emeritus Anthony Selvanayagam, who told the Catholics not to immediately judge on what they saw and wait for the official statement of the Catholic Church, with Virgin Mary being the Mother of Jesus Christ and very important for most Catholics. “Let us be peaceful and not get carried away by such incidents. The church does not blindly accept such claims without first conducting an investigation on what was sighted.” The bishop was quoted in the report, adding that there were a lot of so-called apparitions earlier but none of them were proven real. “The church will not jump onto the bandwagon and endorse such cases without first verifying its authenticity. The Catholic Church is not so naive to just follow what is claimed,” he added, as some believers said that Mother Mary could be sending a message to them, reminding them to repent for their sins. |

| Oz dress auctioned, Judy Garland dress in ‘Wizard of Oz’ sold at Julien’s Auction for $480,000 Posted: 12 Nov 2012 06:44 AM PST The so-called Wizard of Oz dress was auctioned at Julien’s Auction in Beverly Hills, California and was sold for $480,000. The said dress, which Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale wore in the 1939 movie Wizard of Oz, was only among the items sold during the two-day auction, November 9-10, 2012 (Friday-Saturday). It was expected to fetch from $400,000 to $600,000. As described in that Julien’s Auction page, the pinafore is constructed of blue and white cotton gingham with over-the-shoulder straps that end in points and are decorated at the ends with white (two-hole) mother of pearl buttons, with the buttons located at the front waist and back waist. On the other hand, the blouse is made of white lightweight sheer cotton and the stand-up band collar and cuffs are trimmed with medium blue rickrack. It has puff short sleeves, gathered at front neckline only, along with a hook and eye back closure; with a label in the seam that reads “Judy Garland 4461.” The said Judy Garland dress was said to be one of the only complete costumes of original pinafore and blouse known to still exist. It was consigned and sold at Christie’s in 1981 by Kent Warner, an MGM costume designer who helped with the landmark 1970 MGM back lot auction. As noted at CNN, among the other signature items that were sold in that event include Steve McQueen‘s racing jacket, which was sold for $50,000; Julie Andrews‘ dress in the “Sound of Music, which was bought for $38,400; and a purple skirt worn by Marilyn Monroe while filming “River of No Return,” sold for $50,000. | Weird Stolen Fish: Rare Louvar Fish Found in Cabo San Lucas Stolen (Photos, Video) Posted: 12 Nov 2012 04:58 AM PST A weird fish caught by a group of fishermen in Cabo San Lucas was reportedly stolen, according to a report by Pisces Fleet Sportfishing blog on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. The stolen weird fish can be mistaken for a red snapper or tuna. The Walmart Black Friday 2012 sale will start at 5 a.m., while their Thanksgiving Day sale starts at 8 p.m. “If select Black Friday items sell out, you still have a chance to get them at that price.” A statement reads at the official Walmart Facebook page on Sunday, November 11, along with a link to their ads of their 1-hour stock guarantee offer to early Black Friday 2012 shoppers. “Visit a Walmart store on Thursday, November 22, between 10 p.m. – 11 p.m., and we guarantee the three items featured below will be in stock.” Walmart said in that particular early Black Friday ad, referring to the iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi, which costs $399 only plus get a $75 Walmart Gift Card. “If any of the three items sell out in the first hour, you can purchase a Guarantee Card to ensure the item will ship to that same store for pick up before Christmas.” Walmart added. The two other items included in the 1-hour stock guarantee are Emerson 32″ 720p LCD TV, which costs $148 and a LG Blu-ray Player, worth $38 only. “This year, for the first time ever, customers that shop during Walmart‘s one-hour event will be guaranteed to have three of the most popular items under their tree at a great low price.” Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising and marketing officer, Walmart U.S., was quoted in an earlier statement. | Total Solar Eclipse 2012: Australia To Witness Total Solar Eclipse on November 13 Posted: 12 Nov 2012 03:41 AM PST  Total Solar Eclipse Image Credit: Hinode/XRT A total solar eclipse can be seen in Australia and the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday morning, November 14, 2012 or about 2 p.m. US ET on Tuesday, November 13, according to a report by Space.com. The last solar eclipse that occured in May 20, 2012 was reportedly an annular eclipse. The total solar eclipse will be very visible in the city of Cairns in Queensland. The moon is expected to start covering the sun from 5:44 a.m. local time (2:44 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on Tuesday). The moon will be in between the Earth and the sun and a full solar eclipse will last from 6:38 to 6:40 a.m.. Reports say that the total solar eclipse will create a narrow path shadow from the moon across northeastern Australia and the ocean. Scientists and tourists are expected to flock into the city of Cairns to witness the event. According to Space.com, “ a solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of new moon, when the moon passes directly between the sun and the Earth and its shadows fall upon the Earth's surface. But whether the alignment produces a total solar eclipse, a partial solar eclipse or an annular solar eclipse depends on several factors. ” |

Mike D’Antoni Image Credit: NBA.com According to a post at NBA.com on Monday, November 12, 2012, Los Angeles Lakers spokesman John Black confirmed on Sunday night that Mike D’Antoni signed a multi-year contract to be the new Lakers coach, with the team being expected to formally announce the deal within this week. As noted in the report, D’Antoni was chosen unanimously as Brown‘s replacement by Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss and executive vice president Jim Buss, along with general manager Mitch Kupchak, with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash both expressing their support for their new coach. “Obviously I think everyone knows how much I love Mike. If (D’Antoni) were to coach, it would be seamless and terrific for me, and I think the team as well.” Steve Nash was quoted at ESPN before the announcement was made. He used to play for the Phoenix Suns and D’Antoni was the team’s head coach that time. D’Antoni, 61, who holds American and Italian dual citizenship, won the ‘NBA Coach of the Year’ award for the 2004–05 NBA season when he was Suns coach. Back in May 2008, he became the coach of the New York Knicks, but he resigned on March 14, 2012. He was replaced by then assistant coach Mike Woodson. Meanwhile, ESPN Los Angeles reported that Warren LeGarie, D’Antoni‘s agent, confirmed to them that Mike has signed a four-year contract with the LA Lakers, with Los Angeles reporting first that a source told them that Phil Jackson‘s negotiation with the team broke down, and D’Antoni quickly accepted the offer. |

The game ended up tied at 24 points after top strikers of both teams missed their overtime field goals. In 2008, the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals ended their game tied at 13 points apiece. Rams coach Jeff Fisher described the first NFL tie since 2008 by saying that he has “been doing this a while. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a game like this. As I told our guys, we had a number of chances to put the game away. And, unfortunately, we didn’t.” Greg Zuerlein of St. Louis reportedly missed two kicks, a 53 and 58-yarder, in overtime.
