| $4.2 million Christmas tree: World’s Most Expensive Christmas Tree is Pure Gold (Photo) Posted: 23 Nov 2012 01:10 PM PST A pure gold $4.2 million (350 million yen) Christmas tree is reportedly on sale at the Ginza Tanaka jewelry store in Tokyo, Japan. The golden Christmas tree, considered as the world’s most expensive Christmas tree in terms of gold value, is covered with Disney Characters that include Mickey Mouse, Tinker Bell and Cinderella.  $4.2 million Christmas tree Image Credit: Ginza Tanaka/Facebook Ginza Tanaka‘s gold Christmas tree was crafted from 40 kg (88 pounds) of pure gold, It measures about 2.4 meters (7.9 ft) in height with 1.2 meters width. Reports say that it took two months for 10 craftsmen to create the million dollar golden tree. About 50 pure gold silhouette cutouts of Disney characters were place around and the tree was reportedly draped with ribbons made of gold leaf. Tomoko Ishibashi, of the marketing department of Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry, explained that “Right now gold is over 4,400 yen per gram. We used pure gold and had an expert craftsman form each Disney character by hand.” The golden Christmas tree can also be bought at $243,000 but with only 20 Disney characters and at a scaled-down size of 25 cm high. |

One of the reasons that contributed to the initial success of Walmart‘s Black Friday Sales 2012 is its one-hour guarantee on top electronic items that include iPad 2, Emerson 32″ LCD TV and LG Blu-ray player. In a statement issued by Bill Simon, Walmart U.S. president and chief executive officer, he said that “I’m so proud of what our more than 1.3 million associates have done to prepare and execute our Black Friday plans, giving our customers a great start to their Christmas shopping season. The work of our associates is even more impressive when you consider they served approximately 22 million customers on Thursday.” Simon added that “We had very safe and successful Black Friday events at our stores across the country and heard overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers.” Walmart‘s Black Friday this year was divided into three events. During the first event that started at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Walmart reportedly processed almost 10 million register transactions and almost 5,000 items per second until midnight. Among the top items reportedly chosen by shoppers include gaming consoles, video games, DVDs, Furbys, fashion dolls, board games and Crock-Pots. Electronics items reportedly was a hit starting at 10 p.m.. Among the electronic products on shopper’s carts include TVs, tablets, laptops and digital cameras. As of posting, reports say that since Walmart opened its in-store Black Friday Sales, they already sold over 1.8 million towels, 1.3 million televisions, 1.3 million dolls and 250,000 bicycles. |

First round leader Luke Donald and second round playing partner Marc Warren ended up tied with McIlroy at the Greg Norman-designed Earth course on Friday. McIlroy scored a five-under 67 for the day for a two-round 11-under 133. The world number one only hit a single bogey on the fourth hole. Donald had a par for the day while Warren had a one-under par 67 to create a three-way tie. Warren will be playing with McIlroy in Saturday’s third round. The photo was taken to pull a prank on her overprotective mother, Rebecca. | Willis Donates Ski Resort In Idaho To A Non-Profit Group Posted: 23 Nov 2012 09:42 AM PST Bruce Willis donated his whole ski resort in Idaho to a non-profit group, several international news sites reported on Friday, November 23, 2012. The group, whose one of the board members is the grandson of Soldier Mountain founder Bob Frostenson, will assume ownership and operations of the resort. “I couldn’t be more pleased with the organization that will be responsible for the management of the Soldier Mountain Ski Area. The community came together, established the SMSA organization, and now assures its continued success. It was exciting to see that the very people who ski at Soldier care so much about its future. I wish them the very best,” Willis was quoted as saying in the reports. According to the group’s spokesperson, Justin Nyquist, as quoted in different reports, Willis‘ move was a “total donation,” which means that the group will assume complete control of the ski resort and its operation without having to pay a dime. The resort was owned by Willis since the late ’90s. It has been in operation since 1948, reports said. |

Demi allegedly instructed her lawyers to delay negotiations as much as possible. “The main issue they have been fighting over has been the division of assets and the monetary settlement, but it’s now gotten to the point where Ashton is willing to cave in to all of Demi‘s demands just to reach a settlement.” A source told Radar Online, noting that Demi has been playing hardball with the divorce. “As far as the girls and Ashton are concerned, everyone needs to move on with their lives and this whole fiasco has been going on for way too long.” The source added, referring to the three daughters of Demi Moore from her.ex-husband, Die Hard star Bruce Willis. “However, Demi sees things differently and she can not forgive Ashton for moving on so quickly to Mila and flaunting their relationship publicly.
