| Posted: 20 Dec 2012 01:19 AM PST Jackie Chan‘s new role in the movies will be in the upcoming film, ‘Expendables 3‘ led by Sylvester Stallone, who was joined by veteran action stars in the 80s in the first and second installments of the movie series and did well in the worldwide box office. The Chinese superstar may also work with Chris Tucker again.  Jackie Chan in CZ12 movie Image Credit: Emperor Motion Pictures According to a report at Malaysian film portal Cinema Online on Monday, December 17, 2012, Jackie Chan confirmed in a press conference in Kuala Lumpur for his latest movie Chinese Zodiac (CZ12) that he will be joining the cast of ‘Expendables 3‘ and that his role in the said movie will not be small. “Sly had invited me to be in [The] Expendables 2 but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn’t make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes.” Chan was quoted at Cinema.com.my. Chan, 58, also noted that his schedule for next year will be very busy and may be making a movie again with Chris Tucker in a film with a current working title ‘Skip Tracer,’ after working with him in the Rush Hour movie series. Chan added that he still has no plans of retiring, but his future action movies may be added by CG effects. As of this writing, there is still no concrete information about the ‘Expendables 3‘ cast members and its release date; but earlier rumors said that Stallone will be joined by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. As noted at Screen Rant earlier, Chuck Norris confirmed that he will be not appearing at Expendables 3, citing a report from Access Hollywood. Meanwhile, Steven Seagal was also reportedly offered by Stallone but declined the offer. Nicolas Cage was also rumored to be confirmed joining the movie, but the Facebook report appeared to be a hoax. |

The photo of the president playing with a kid wearing a Spider-Man was taken by Pete Souza, official White House photographer. As noted at Time.com, the Obama vs Spider-Man photo, which is only one of the pictures of President Obama taken by Souza for his “Portrait of a Presidency” shown to Time, was taken last October 26, while the US president was playing with a son of a White House staffer in the Outer Oval Office. “I tried to, in putting together this edit, not only to show some of the high points or low points of his presidency thus far, but pictures that help people understand what he’s like, not only as a President but as a human being. Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon won as the 1st runner-up, while Miss Venezuela Irene Sofia Esser Quintero landed as as second runner-up. The crown was passed to her by Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes of Angola. On the early part of the contest, the names of the Top 15 semifinalists were announced, which include the candidates from Turkey, France, Peru, Russia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, South Africa, Philippines, Croatia, Brazil, Kosovo, Australia, India, and USA. Miss Venezuela landed at 16th, after winning the fan votes. Later, the Top 10 candidates were revealed, which include Miss Australia, Miss Russia, Miss Brazil, Miss France, Miss Venezuela, Miss USA, Miss Hungary, Miss South Africa, Miss Mexico, and Miss Philippines. Afterwards, the evening gown took place, and Miss Guatemala Laura Godoy won as Miss Congeniality. For the Top 5 Miss Universe 2012 finalists, the following candidates were announced: Miss Venezuela Irene Esser, Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, Miss Australia Renae Ayris, Miss USA Olivia Culpo, and Miss Brazil Gabriela Markus. Miss Kosovo won as Ms. Photogenic and Miss China won the Best in National Costume. Apparently, the five finalists competed for Q & A portion and the most noted question went to Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, who was third consecutive Filipina to land in the Miss Universe Top 5 after Venus Raj in 2010 and Shamcey Supsup in 2011. She was asked the Twitter question, “Should Miss Universe be able to speak English?” “For me Miss Universe is not about being able to speak a specific language, it’s about being able to influence and inspire other people. No matter what language you speak as long as you have the heart and a strong mind you can become Miss Universe.” Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon said, who replied in English. During the final moments of the Miss Universe 2012, Miss Brazil Gabriela Markus was announced the fourth runner-up and Miss Australia Renae Ayris as the third runner-up. Olivia Culpo is the 8th Miss USA candidate to win the Miss Universe crown, and the last one was Brook Lee, who won the title in 1997. | Griffin Fined $10,000 For Wearing Adidas On Post-Game Interview Posted: 19 Dec 2012 08:02 PM PST Robert Griffin III was fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing an Adidas sweatsuit and T-shirt during his post-game interview, international football news sites reported on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.  Robert Griffin III Credit: Bleacher Report According to reports, the NFL fined Griffin $10,000 for wearing an “unauthorized apparel” on Sunday’s post game news conference. Griffin was inactive during the Washington Redskins game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, so he was not expected to talk to the press after the game. However, the NFL still fined Griffin for wearing Adidas. Griffin has a deal with Adidas but NFL has a deal with Nike. Nike reportedly paid more than $1 billion to get exclusively rights to all NFL gear this year. The NFL confirmed that Griffin was fined $10,000 on a news report on their official website. |
