“As we reimagine Lincoln as a company, we will also reintroduce ourselves to the world. In the coming 12 months we will say Hello, Again..And we’ll do this by digging deep into where we’re from and by taking a long, hard look at where we’re going.” A statement reads at Lincoln.com.

According to a press release at AtFord.com this Monday, Lincoln announced the launch of its new advertising campaign: ‘Introducing the Lincoln Motor Company,’ which aims to capture the founding principles of the company and to bring them forward to a new generation of progressive luxury car buyers.

As noted on the report, Lincoln was originally called the Lincoln Motor Company in 1922, when Edsel Ford signed the agreement to buy the company from its founder Henry Leland. Edsel notably worked with various custom-body suppliers, until the company became the Lincoln Division of Ford Motor Co. in 1940.

“Befitting this new chapter in the life of Lincoln we are making a complete new start in every aspect of consumer communication to emotionally welcome our new target customer into our brand,” Matt VanDyke, Director of Global Lincoln Brand, was quoted in the report.

“It’s not often this opportunity comes around so we intend to make the most of it and have our work in every medium be as fresh, surprising and distinctive as the new Lincoln vehicles and customer experiences will be.” VanDyke added. The Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the 2013 MKZ starts at $35, 925.

Among the key features of the 5-seater 2013 Lincoln MKZ include offering three engine choices: a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder for the four-wheel drive (FWD), a 300-hp 3.7L 24-valve Ti-VCT V6 for the all-wheel drive (AWD), and the 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle I-4 Hybrid engine for the MKZ Hybrid model.

Meanwhile, Ford CEO Alan Mulally and other top executives are being expected to be at the Lincoln Center Plaza in New York this Monday to announce the Introducing the Lincoln Motor Company ad campaign, which will also be carried in print, broadcast, digital media and Lincoln‘s own online platforms starting this day.

Twins Fighting In Womb: New MRI Shows Identical Twins Fighting Inside Womb (Video)

A video of twins, seemingly fighting inside their mother’s womb is made available online, international news sites reported on Friday, November 30, 2012.

The video, as shown below, shows identical twins kicking each other fighting for more leg room inside the womb. According to reports, the video was taken by a new high-clarity MRI, also called “cinematic MRI,” from London‘s Center for Fetal Care.

“What this lets us do is see their positions in relation to each other and how much space they occupy, and how they might move around and push each other out of the way,” Dr. Marisa Taylor-Clarke reportedly said.

Reports said that the new technology is being used by doctors in London to learn more about twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), in which one twin takes blood from the other.

“One of the problems with the imbalances of blood flow is that if you get a sudden shift of blood from one twin to the other, that can cause brain injury. So it can cause stroke or hemorrhage in one or both of the twins’ brains.” Dr. Taylor-Clarke was quoted as saying.

“MRI can pick up signs of brain injury much earlier and in much greater detail than ultrasound can at the moment.”

The new MRI scan is being developed continuously for better utilization of studying TTTS, reports said.

A 125-mile traffic jam was experienced in Russia due to thick snow, which has been going on for entire weekend, from Friday to Sunday, (November 30 – December 2, 2012), in the long road between Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia. A video of the situation is available below.

As noted by CNN this Sunday, citing reports from Russian news site RIA Novosti, the 125-mile traffic jam (around 201 kilometers) at M-10 highway in Russia caused drivers of trucks, cars, and other vehicles to walk the long road to reach their destination, as videos from Russian TV networks show snow fog in the area.

According to the report, State Automobile Inspectorate, a division of Russia‘s Interior Ministry, noted that there were efforts to ease the traffic caused by the three-feet thick of snow in that long road. By Sunday, an agency spokesman estimated the traffic to have been reducing three-fourths of a mile every hour.

RIA Novosti was quoted reporting that the traffic is being expected to start to be “back to normal” at 6 p.m. (local time), Sunday. An Emergencies Ministry spokesman reportedly estimated that vehicles could forward at 3-6 mph (5-10 kph), as snow of one lane in each direction of M-10 have been cleared out.

Meanwhile, some stranded drivers and passengers were noted to have posted their complaints in social sites and local news websites, as some cafes along M-10 allegedly took advantage of the situation and raised their prices in their hot food and drinks, adding that in general, local authorities did not help much.

Nevertheless, a spokeswoman for Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has been ordered to report to Mr Medvedev on how to help the stranded motorists and the necessary measures to be taken to end the 125-mile traffic jam.

Obama Rosa Parks seat photo goes viral, earns mixed reactions (Photo)

Posted: 03 Dec 2012 12:12 AM PST

The so-called ‘Obama Rosa Parks seat‘ photo, as shown below, is now going viral and earning mixed reactions on social sites particularly on Twitter. Parks, an African-American civil rights activist, was called by the US Congress as “the first lady of civil rights” and “the mother of the freedom movement.”

“Today is the 57th Anniversary of the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. Pic: President Obama on Rosa Parks bus.” The White House (@whitehouse) tweeted on Saturday, December 1, 2012; 57 years after Parks did not obey Montgomery Bus driver James F. Blake‘s instruction to give her seat to a white passenger.

The “Obama Rosa Parks seat” photo was taken during a fundraising trip on April 18, 2012 at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, where the bus currently sits. That day, President Barack Obama sat on the same row where Parks sat on December 1, 1955 and was arrested, but on the opposite side.

“I just sat in there for a moment and pondered the courage and tenacity that is part of our very recent history but is also part of that long line of folks who sometimes are nameless, oftentimes didn’t make the history books, but who constantly insisted on their dignity, their share of the American dream.” Obama was quoted that day.

According to ABC News that time, the personal moment for President Obama at the Ford Museum was not captured by White House press corps photographers, who were kept on the sidelines of the event. Nevertheless, it earned mixed reactions just like it did recently, and below are some of them.

“I thought the idea was that he posted this to show that he went to sit on the bus she did, and to show that in his mind it was a meaningful thing to do. Not replace her, or whatever it is, just go and sit there out of respect.” Fey Lovecraft wrote as comment to the MSN report also last Saturday.

“I view it as President Obama saying “Thank you” to Rosa Parks. That without her, and the other leaders of the civil rights movement, he (nor any person of color) would not be in the position he is in today.” Greg Roberts wrote.

“Just when you think President Obama‘s impossibly large ego can't grow further, he makes it happen!” A Twitchy.com staff wrote on his post on Saturday, December 2, with his blog post titled “Narcissist in chief: President Obama honors Rosa Parks anniversary with picture of himself”

“Breaking: White House orders NASA to rename 7th planet “Obamanus”. ~ #MalignantNarcissism #RosaParksDay #YouDidntBuildThat” Adam Baldwin (@AdamsBaldwin) tweeted.

“@whitehouse God Bless Rosa Parks! Too bad she would be embarrassed by the idiot in her seat.” Buckeye Mike (@BuckeyeMike1) tweeted.
