Secret Files On Aliens: A Joke From Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev (Video) Posted: 08 Dec 2012 03:21 PM PST The secret files on aliens turned out to be a joke from former Russian President and current Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. During an unguarded moment during his appearance at a Russian TV, Medvedev reportedly talked about some secret files on aliens. Thinking that TV cameras have stopped recording, Medvedev told journalist that “Along with the briefcase with nuclear codes, the president of the country is given a special 'top secret' folder. This folder in its entirety contains information about aliens who visited our planet.” The former President further added that “Along with this, you are given a report of the absolutely secret special service that exercises control over aliens on the territory of our country … more detailed information on this topic you can get from a well-known movie called Men In Black … I will not tell you how many of them are among us because it may cause panic.” Reports say that Medvedev appeared on Russian TV to dispel rumors about Mayan prophecies. During the TV interview, Medvedev reiterated that he does not believe that December 21, 2012 will be the end of the world. The off-air comments of Medvedev were reportedly not broadcast on TV stations but was uploaded on YouTube. Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev comments about the secret files on aliens. Posted: 08 Dec 2012 10:15 AM PST The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) recently launched a new website called Mormons and Gays, which is apparently calling for compassion for gays and lesbians but is still being firm on its belief about being gay. A video announcing the launch of the new LDS website is available below. New Mormon Church website Mormons and Gays Screenshot Credit: MormonsAndGays.org “The experience of same-sex attraction is a complex reality for many people. The attraction itself is not a sin, but acting on it is. Even though individuals do not choose to have such attractions, they do choose how to respond to them.” A statement reads at MormonsAndGays.org, which was reportedly launched on Thursday, December 6, 2012. “With love and understanding, the Church reaches out to all God’s children, including our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters.” The new Mormon Church website added, noting that it contains some conversations with Church leaders and members who are attracted to people of the same sex, and families with gay people. However, the Mormon Church emphasized that it is still firm on its belief on gays and lesbians, and that the main purpose of their new website is to help their Church members on how to respond sensitively and when they encounter same-sex attraction in their own families, among other Church members, or elsewhere. “I think that’s what God is saying: stay with me. And I think that’s what we want to say in the church: stay with us, and let’s work together in friendship and commonality and brotherhood and sisterhood.” D. Todd Christofferson, LDS Church‘s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, said in a video on the website. Here (in the church) more than anywhere, it’s important that there be love, that there is hope. We want to be with you and work together.” Christofferson added, with LDS spokesman Michael Purdy recently quoted telling to DeseretNews.com that the new website is part of the church’s efforts to clarify its stand on various issues. 2Day FM Facebook page receives mixed reactions after Royal prank call hospital nurse dies Posted: 08 Dec 2012 08:18 AM PST The official 2Day FM Facebook page is now receiving mixed reactions after the death of Jacintha Saldanha, the King Edward VII Hospital nurse who received the prank call from Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian, which she transferred to Kate Middleton‘s room and was received by one of her nurses. Mel Greig Michael and Christian of 2Day FM Image Credit: Hot30 Countdown As noted earlier by Daily Mail, Saldanha was found dead on Thursday, December 6, 2012, two days after Greig and Christian pretended to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The two radio DJs were able to talk to a nurse of Kate, who is now pregnant and was then being treated for “acute morning sickness.” That day, a spokesman of the Royal family, King Edward VII Hospital, and 2Day FM radio have expressed their condolences to the family of Saldanha, who has been working in the hospital for four years as a nurse. Last Tuesday, she was the one who picked up the prank call since there was no receptionist on duty that time. Apparently, Greig and Christian have already deleted their Twitter accounts and have not returned to their work on Hot30 Countdown radio show until further notice. The message on the 2Day FM Facebook page said that Southern Cross Austereo CEO Rhys Holleran has already talked to both of them. Meanwhile, tons of Facebook users flocked to 2Day FM Facebook page and some have expressed their anger, particularly to Mel Greig and Michael Christian, adding that they should be fired from their job. However, there are also those who noted that the two DJs should not be blamed for Saldanha‘s death. Below are some of the mixed reactions posted on the message on the 2Day FM Facebook page, which has more than 11,000 comments and over 1,700 ‘Likes’ as of this writing.
